2. Summary

• CalcSlate performs calculations on the device and requires neither a developer account nor an app backend operated by the developer.
• Sheets, titles, expressions, values, variables, annotations, drafts, and versions are stored locally.
• If iCloud is enabled for CalcSlate, this content is also stored in the private iCloud/CloudKit database of the Apple Account in use and synchronised between signed-in devices.
• CalcSlate contains no advertising, analytics SDK, or tracking. The developer does not sell user data or create advertising profiles.
• The optional Full Version purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store.

3. Scope and Allocation of Roles

This privacy notice describes the processing of personal data in connection with CalcSlate on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch and when this information page is accessed.

CalcSlate is designed around local processing. The developer does not operate a user-account system, analytics platform, or server to which calculation content is transmitted. If iCloud synchronisation is enabled, Apple processes the synchronised content in the private CloudKit area of the Apple Account in use. Apple's agreements and privacy notices additionally apply to processing by Apple.

4. Local App Data and iCloud Synchronisation

4.1 Local Storage

CalcSlate stores sheets, titles, expressions, values, variables, annotations, drafts, version history, settings, and the local trash on the relevant device. This content is not transmitted to the developer for advertising, profiling, or tracking purposes.

Deleted sheets remain in the trash for the device-local period selected in the app, from 1 to 30 days and 7 days by default, and can be permanently deleted there immediately.

4.2 Private iCloud/CloudKit Database

If iCloud is available and enabled for CalcSlate, the app stores and synchronises the content listed above through Apple's CloudKit in the private database of the Apple Account in use. This makes the same data available on the user's own devices signed in to that Apple Account. CalcSlate does not operate its own synchronisation server.

iCloud use can be managed in System Settings. App data stored in iCloud can also be managed or deleted there. Processing by Apple is governed by Apple's agreements, system settings, and privacy notices.

5. Full Version and App Store Purchase

The optional Full Version is a non-consumable in-app purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. On the device, CalcSlate evaluates only verified StoreKit product and entitlement information required to purchase, unlock, and restore the Full Version.

The developer does not receive payment-card or complete payment information. Apple may provide the developer with purchase-related accounting and sales information through App Store Connect under the App Store rules. Apple's terms and privacy notices apply to payment processing and processing by Apple.

6. Diagnostics and Error Analysis

CalcSlate contains no analytics or advertising SDK. Diagnostic logs must not contain calculation values, expressions, titles, annotations, notes, or variable names. Diagnostic information created on the device may contain only opaque identifiers, event counts, timings, software versions, and error categories required for stability and error analysis.

Such diagnostic information is transmitted to the developer only if the user voluntarily provides it as part of a support request or expressly permits transmission through diagnostic features provided by Apple. It is then used only to handle the request, analyse errors, and improve reliability.

7. Exported Files

Users can export a lossless .calcsheet file or a static PDF/CSV copy. The destination, recipients, and further processing depend on the sharing or storage function selected by the user. CalcSlate does not automatically transmit exported content to the developer.

8. Support and Communication

If a user contacts the developer, for example by email, the contact details provided, the content of the request, voluntarily attached files, and processing and response data may be processed.

Purposes: handling support requests, error analysis, communication, performance of a contract, and defence of legal claims.
Legal bases: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the request relates to a contractual relationship or pre-contractual measures; otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Retention: until the request has been fully handled and thereafter only where statutory retention obligations or legitimate interests in documentation and defence of legal claims apply.

9. Recipients and Services Used

Depending on use, data may be transmitted to the following recipients:

• Apple: for iCloud/CloudKit, the App Store, StoreKit, operating-system functions, and diagnostics expressly authorised by the user where applicable;
• destinations selected by the user: when files are exported or sent through the system share function;
• ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, proprietor René Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany: as processor for this website, the contact form and contact mailbox;
• public authorities, courts, or advisers where required by law or necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.

When this page is accessed, the web host processes technically necessary connection data for delivery and security under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest is providing this information securely and reliably. Details about hosting, recipients and retention are available in the website privacy notice; for the form, see the contact form privacy information. The app privacy notice remains separate. When old links through Cloudflare are used, that provider initially processes the connection data needed to receive and redirect the request; directly visiting sugreenx.eu does not use that redirect route.

10. International Data Transfers

When Apple services or old links through Cloudflare are used, processing outside the European Union or European Economic Area, particularly in the United States, cannot be ruled out. Such transfers take place under the conditions of Articles 44 et seq. GDPR applicable to the relevant provider, in particular on the basis of an adequacy decision, appropriate safeguards such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or another permitted transfer mechanism.

11. Requirement to Provide Data

No personal data needs to be provided to the developer for CalcSlate's local core use. iCloud synchronisation, the App Store purchase, exports, and support are optional or expressly initiated by the user. Without the data technically required in each case, the relevant function cannot be provided.

12. Retention Periods

Local and private iCloud data is generally stored until the user deletes it in the app, on the device, or through iCloud management. Support and communication data and technically necessary website data are deleted or anonymised as soon as the relevant purpose no longer applies and no statutory retention obligation or legitimate interest, particularly in IT security, documentation, or defence of legal claims, prevents this.

13. Legal Bases at a Glance

Where the developer processes personal data, this takes place in particular on the basis of:

• Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where processing is necessary for contractual or pre-contractual services;
• Article 6(1)(c) GDPR where statutory obligations apply;
• Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for support, IT security, reliable provision of this information page, documentation, and defence of legal claims;
• Article 6(1)(a) GDPR where processing is based on express consent. Consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

14. Rights of Data Subjects

Subject to the statutory requirements, data subjects have in particular the right of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16 GDPR), erasure (Article 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR), data portability (Article 20 GDPR), objection (Article 21 GDPR), and withdrawal of consent with effect for the future.

Data subjects also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR), in particular in the Member State of habitual residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement.

For content stored exclusively locally or in the private iCloud area and not held by the developer, deletion and management can be carried out directly in CalcSlate, on the device, or through iCloud settings.

15. Right to Object under Article 21 GDPR

Where the developer processes personal data on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, the data subject has the right to object at any time on grounds relating to their particular situation. The data concerned will then no longer be processed unless compelling legitimate grounds can be demonstrated or processing is required for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.

16. Automated Decisions

No automated decision-making within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR takes place that produces legal effects concerning the user or similarly significantly affects the user. Technical verification of a purchase entitlement confirmed by Apple serves only to unlock the purchased Full Version.

17. Current Version and Changes

This privacy notice reflects the currently described functional scope and processing of CalcSlate. It will be updated if material technical or legal changes are made.
